Accessibility checklist for patient portals
Twelve checks that catch most WCAG 2.2 issues in healthcare forms.

Start with the keyboard
Unplug the mouse and book an appointment. Every control must be reachable with Tab, and the focus must always be visible.
Then a screen reader
Every field needs a label that is read aloud, and every error message must be announced when it appears.
